The US agency USAID officially ends foreign aid programs

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has decided to terminate foreign aid programs on July 1. This was announced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
"On July 1, USAID officially stops providing foreign aid. Foreign aid programs that are consistent with the administration's policies and advance American interests will be managed by the State Department," Rubio wrote on the Substack service.
He noted that the tasks assigned to USAID were rarely achieved, while "anti-American sentiments" only grew. According to him, now, under the administration of US President Donald Trump, the foreign financing mission in America will give priority to the national interests of the country.
The Reuters news agency reported on May 22 that the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) would receive part of USAID's authority. At the time, it was noted that the PRM would be responsible for coordinating Washington's response to humanitarian emergencies in other countries.
In addition, on March 28, the publication published an article stating that the remaining USAID employees would be fired in July and September.
