Working parents with two or more children will receive an annual family allowance. This was announced on July 1 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a specialized strategic session.

"Starting in June 2026, there will be a new annual family payment for working parents with two or more children and an income below 1.5 regional subsistence level," according to a publication on the Russian government's Telegram channel.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation explained that the families of such citizens will begin to return part of the paid income tax. Personal income tax will be recalculated at a rate of 6%, and the difference between the tax actually paid and this rate will be compensated.

Mishustin noted that the launch of a new family support measure requires careful preparation — all mechanisms must be verified in advance to avoid failures. According to him, the Ministry of Labor and the Social Fund should pay special attention to this.

He also stressed that the government will continue to work on simplifying and improving the procedures for assigning benefits, payments and allowances in order to make them more accessible and convenient for citizens.

Mishustin also said that by 2030, the minimum wage in Russia will rise to 35 thousand rubles. He noted that on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the government is consistently increasing wages, and these rates are outpacing inflation. So, since the beginning of the year, the minimum wage has increased by more than 16.5% and amounted to 22,400 rubles.
