Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova withdrew from the Wimbledon tournament on July 1.

The competitor of the athlete in the first round of the competition was supposed to be a participant from Poland, Magdalena Freh. However, now, instead of Potapova, Canadian tennis player Victoria Vanessa Mboko will take part in the tournament, adds Sport-Express.

Potapova is 24 years old, she ranks 44th in the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). She has won three tournaments under the auspices of the organization.

Earlier in the day, Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova beat Australian athlete Priscilla Hong in the first round of the Wimbledon tournament.
