Rutube's audience in mobile traffic grew by 117% over the year to over 49 million unique users per month on average. Thus, video hosting has become the fastest growing service in terms of coverage, according to a study by MTS AdTech.

Thus, mobile traffic (MAU Mobile) amounted to more than 49 million unique users. Rutube's average daily reach (DAU) reached 6.5 million people on smartphones in July, an increase of 253% year-on-year.

Experts attribute the success of the video service, which is part of Gazprom Media Holding, to the outflow of the audience from YouTube caused by disruptions in the platform. Nevertheless, Russian hosting has not yet surpassed its foreign competitor in terms of audience: according to Mediascope, at the end of last year, YouTube's MAU dropped to 89 million people (in 2023, the figure was 95 million), and DAU — to 42 million people.

In a comment to Kommersant, a representative of Gazprom Media Holding noted that Rutube's total monthly audience increased by 68% year-on-year to 79.5 million people.

At the end of May, TelecomDaily published the results of an online survey of Russian viewers of video services, according to which Rutube and VK Video surpassed YouTube in terms of views in Russia. 77% of respondents said they watched Rutube all the time or turned it on at least once in six months. It was also noted that 80% of those who use Rutube plan to watch it in the future.
