A fee for visiting a special smoking area has been introduced in Pulkovo

A special smoking area has been made toll-free at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport. This was announced to Izvestia on July 1 by Alexandra Sablina, head of the public Relations and marketing group at the air harbor.

"The decision to make the smoking area paid for is related to the need to accompany the smoking room and maintain it," she said.

According to her, there are two smoking areas at the airport. The first one is open in one of the restaurants and is free for visitors of this institution with a check starting from 1.5 thousand rubles. The second one is commercial, the cost of a visit for one passenger is 500 rubles.

Dmitry Bondar, an expert on housing and communal services, said on May 13 that if tobacco smoke from an apartment penetrates into a common corridor or neighboring rooms, this can be classified as a violation of the established order of use of residential premises, as well as causing harm to the health and property of other citizens. According to him, the fine for violation ranges from 500 to 1,500 rubles.
