- A commemorative event was held in Crimea about the military commander of Izvestia Fedorchak

An event dedicated to the memory of Izvestia war correspondent Alexander Fedorchak, who died in a special military operation zone, was held in the Nizhnegorsky district of the Republic of Crimea. This was announced on July 1 by the press service of the district administration.
Alexey Zinchenko, Chairman of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the region, became the guest of honor at the meeting. Vadim Pervykh, General Director of the Krym shopping mall, and Fedorchak's parents were also present at the meeting.
"We discussed the importance of the profession of a war correspondent, the value of truthful information and the need to preserve the memory of heroes," said Anton Kravets, head of the Nizhnegorsky district administration.
The participants of the meeting took a photo together near the mural dedicated to the journalist. This project was implemented on the initiative of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea.
On June 28, Ivan Manucharov, a deputy of the State Council of Crimea, announced that Fedorchak had been awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Nizhnegorsky District" of the Republic of Crimea. The politician thanked the district administration for supporting this initiative.
