Polish President Nawrocki called the country's western border "leaky"

The western border of Poland is "leaking", and the border guard service cannot cope with the migration flow. This was announced on July 1 by the country's president-elect Karol Navrotsky.
"The Polish western border is flowing today. I was informed about this by residents of the western regions of Poland," Nawrocki said, as quoted by the Polsat TV channel.
The politician said that after his swearing in, he plans to convene a Cabinet of Ministers on the issue of illegal migration. The President stressed that he wants to have all the statistical data on this problem.
In addition, Navrotsky added that Polish citizens are currently making efforts to resolve the issue of illegal entry into the country, but this should not be the case. According to the president, if the Polish services cannot cope with the problem that has arisen, then it must be solved differently — to introduce border control from the Polish side.
"There is no place for diplomacy here. This situation must be resolved," Navrotsky concluded.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on June 29 that if the situation with illegal migration worsens, Poland may establish border controls with Germany and Lithuania. The politician sent a letter to the German government and Chancellor Friedrich Merz with this initiative.
