Starting from July 1, Russians who turned 80 in June 2025 will have their insurance pensions increased. This was announced on Tuesday, July 1, by Igor Balynin, associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

In conversation with aif.ru He explained that the increase will occur by doubling the fixed pension payment, as in previous years. In addition, starting in 2025, a nursing allowance of 1,314 rubles will be included in the fixed payment.

Thus, if the fixed payment now amounts to 8,907.7 rubles, then after doubling and taking into account the surcharge, its amount will reach 19,129.4 rubles.

The economist gave an example: if in June the pension amount was 34,875.89 rubles, then in July it will rise to 45,097.59 rubles. At the same time, the increase is maintained not for one month, but on an ongoing basis.
