The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has completed the investigation of the criminal case against the mothers of Yulia Loginova and Natalia Patoka, accused of child trafficking. The lawyer of one of the defendants informed Izvestia about this on July 1.

Earlier, the investigation period was extended until mid-July. According to the defender, the investigative actions have been completed, and the defendants have reviewed the case materials. The criminal case will be referred to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment before being sent to court.

The total number of defendants exceeded 20 people. In respect of 11 of them, including Loginova, Moloka, surrogate mothers and other women whose abandoned children were adopted by the defendants, the cases were separated into separate proceedings. 15 minors were recognized as victims.

Loginova was detained in October 2023. Then, in the blood of one of the children she was raising, a drug was found that was prohibited for his illness. It also turned out that 15 minors were in the care of the woman, but due to an operation in 2010, the woman could not give birth. At the same time, Loginova assured that some of the children born after this operation were also her relatives.

After conducting a genetic examination and checking the registration of children, a criminal case was opened on child trafficking using forged documents and intentional harm to health.

In the same month, Natalia Patoka, Loginova's accomplice, was detained. The woman created a shelter for mothers in difficult circumstances, and registered minors in her name.
