Japanese police believe that the cause of death of a beaten Russian woman in Osaka was heat stroke. This was announced on June 30 by FNN TV channel.

"The police are investigating the case as a possible homicide. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was heat stroke," the publication says.

According to law enforcement agencies, the woman was beaten so badly that she could not move, then her body temperature rose, which caused heat stroke and led to death.

The 47news portal reported on June 28 that the wounded body of Russian citizen Elena Ito was found in a residential complex in Osaka, Japan. There were marks from blows on the woman's face, and she was bleeding. The police were contacted by Ito's ex-husband, who could not contact her for several days.

On the same day, the Russian Consulate General in the country announced that they had contacted the Japanese police regarding the murder of a Russian woman. They noted that official information on the progress of the investigation has not yet been received.
