The criminal case of singer Maksakova has been submitted to the Moscow court.

The Presnensky Court of Moscow has received a criminal case against opera singer Maria Maksakova (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) for consideration in absentia. This was announced on July 1 by the court's press service.

"The case against Maksakova-Igenbergs M.P. has been submitted to the court," the press service of the instance told RIA Novosti.

The case against Maksakova was initiated under Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for activities directed against the security of the state").

On May 31, the magistrate's court in Moscow recovered debts from singer Maksakova at the request of the Federal Tax Service (FTS). It is noted that the amount of the penalty has not been announced.
