The section of the Kaluga Highway understudy from Alexandra Monakhova Street is almost 40% ready. It is planned to open traffic along its main course this year, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a Telegram channel.

With the opening of the new section, residents of the TINAO will have an alternative route to the Solntsevo — Butovo — Varshavskoye highway, bypassing the Kaluga Highway. "Thus, the neighboring roads will become freer, and the travel time will be shorter," Sobyanin said.

In total, more than six kilometers of roads will be built as part of the project. In particular, a new section of the MKAD will be built — the village of Kommunarka — Ostafevo airport. There will also be exits to the Projected passage No. 7154, on Sosenskiy Stan St., from the MKAD — Kommunarka settlement — Ostafevo Airport to the side passage.

The overpass over Alexandra Monakhova and Bachurinskaya streets is half ready, the mayor noted. He recalled that there will be two lanes in each direction.

A 23-km-long double of the Kaluga Highway will run from Tyutchevskaya metro station to Troitsk. In September 2024, the section from Solntsevo — Butovo — Varshavskoye highway to Serednevo — Marino — Desna was opened. The first two sections of the stand-in were built in 2021-2022.
