The Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved the allocation of the next tranche to Kiev in the amount of $500 million through the Extended Lending Facility (EFF) approved on March 31, 2023. The corresponding statement was published on the official website of the foundation on June 30.

"The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today completed the eighth review of the EFF, which allowed the authorities to raise $0.5 billion, which will be used to support the budget. This will bring the total payments under the IMF—supported program to $10.6 billion," the press release says.

On June 30, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced that Canada had transferred a tranche of $1.7 billion to Ukraine. These funds were derived from the proceeds from frozen Russian assets. He noted that since the beginning of the year and taking into account the mentioned tranche, Kiev has already received $17.6 billion from these assets.
