In the Tyumen region, doctors have registered 25 cases of tick-borne encephalitis. This is reported by the news agency " <url>" with reference to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.
Since the beginning of the epidemic season, more than 11 thousand people have been affected by tick bites. All patients received prophylaxis with anti-tick immunoglobulin.
25 people were diagnosed with encephalitis, and 33 more were infected with tick-borne borreliosis. Doctors emphasize that the most effective method of preventing encephalitis is vaccination. As of June 30, more than 133 thousand people were vaccinated.
About 40 cases of tick-borne infections have been registered in the Stavropol Territory since the beginning of the season. Crimean hemorrhagic fever was detected in some patients.
