Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the inclusion of the German automaker Daimler Truck in the list of companies against which Russia imposes economic sanctions. The document was published on June 30 on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"To supplement the list of legal entities subject to special economic measures <... > by Daimler Truck AG," the resolution says.
In February, it became known that the German concern Daimler Truck AG withdrew from the capital of KAMAZ in 2024. According to Sergey Kogogin, the head of the Russian company, Mercedes-Benz Group AG has not been involved in the life of the Russian company since February 2022. Daimler held a 15% stake in KAMAZ.
Earlier in the day, Russia, in response to restrictions from the European Union (EU) regarding the broadcasting of eight publications and TV channels from the Russian Federation, restricted access to 15 media outlets from the countries of the association on its territory.
