Attempts to overthrow the governments in Hungary and Serbia are being made and funded from abroad. This was announced on June 30 by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto during a press conference in Szeged with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric.

According to Szijjarto, Brussels is not afraid to use harsh means in seeking a change of power in Hungary and Serbia.

"There are also governments in Hungary and Serbia that prioritize the sovereignty of countries and national interests, against which they carry out actions clearly directed from abroad, demonstrating their intention to change governments with foreign funding," he said, a speech posted on Szijjarto's YouTube channel.

In addition, Djuric also noted that Hungary and Serbia represent true democracies, despite attempts to interfere in their politics and influence them.

"We really represent real democracy, and not the kind of democracy that they pay for from abroad and try to control from abroad through illegal methods and constant interference in a democratically elected government," concluded the Serbian Foreign Minister.

On April 1, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that Serbia intends to strengthen strategic cooperation with Hungary to create a military alliance. He stressed that cooperation in the field of defense is one of the most important aspects of comprehensive strategic cooperation with Hungary.
