The media reported on the "loss" of €1 billion in Germany to help Ukraine

In Germany, €1 billion, intended to help Ukraine, has "disappeared". This is reported by the Bild newspaper.
It is noted that the German side promised to allocate €9.2 billion to Kiev this year, but the cabinet of Chancellor Friedrich Merz counted the allocation of €8.3 billion from the budget for these purposes.
According to the newspaper, this state of affairs may mean that Ukraine will receive less than promised by the head of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius.
"Simply put, the Pistorius ministry hopes to find another 900 million euros outside the federal budget. If this does not work, then either the deficit will have to be filled with taxpayers' money, or Ukraine will receive less than the minister announced," the authors of the article believe.
On June 13, Sevim Dagdelen, a foreign policy expert at Sarah Wagenknecht's Union for Reason and Justice (SSV) party, said that Pistorius, during a visit to Kiev, promised President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky a record amount of aid worth €1.9 billion.
