The renovation of trains on the Yaroslavl direction of the Moscow Railway has begun

Train upgrades have begun on the Yaroslavl section of the Moscow Railway. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

On Monday, June 30, the first train of the newest model "Ivolga 4.0" entered the line. These trains have wider aisles and doorways, and the number of doors has been increased, which has significantly accelerated passenger boarding and disembarking. Oriole consists of 97% domestic components.

According to Sobyanin, 92 new trains will be purchased by 2030 — the fleet of suburban trains on the Yaroslavl route is planned to be completely renovated. "The new trains will increase the number of passenger seats by 20%. The route speed will also increase by 20%," the mayor stressed.

The Yaroslavl direction of the Moscow Railway is the most popular at the Central Transport Hub. In recent years, Sobyanin said, a lot of work has been done here to improve traffic intensity. Due to the construction of additional main tracks, the train travel interval has been reduced by a third.
