Soyuzmultfilm has applied for registration of the Chebubu trademark. The application was reviewed by Izvestia on Monday, June 30.

By analogy with the plush designer toys "Labubu", which are gaining popularity among Russians, the new trademark became known as "Chebubu". The application for registration was submitted on June 27. Cosmetics, children's goods, musical instruments, stationery and much more can be produced under it.

Soyuzmultfilm has decided to register the Chebubu trademark in order to protect Cheburashka as part of the fight against counterfeiting and prevent the release of similar toys by other companies," said Juliana Slashcheva, chairman of the Board of Directors of Soyuzmultfilm Film Studio.
