The Charge d'affaires of Ukraine in Tehran was summoned to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with statements by Kiev officials regarding attacks by the United States and Israel on the territory of the Islamic Republic. This was reported by the ISNA news agency on June 30.

According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the diplomat was summoned by the head of the first Department of the Eurasian countries of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Shahram Farsai.

"He received a harsh note of protest from Iran on this issue," the Telegram channel said in a statement.

Tehran regarded the statements of the Ukrainian side as support for aggression against Iran and strongly disagreed with this position.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on June 29 that the UN Security Council should hold Israel and the United States accountable for the act of aggression against Iran and oblige them to pay compensation. According to Araqchi, the Security Council must prevent the recurrence of such grave crimes.

Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen, a political scientist, said on June 30 that US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities were illegal from an international point of view. According to him, Israel's conduct of the operation may be related to the desire to enlist the support of the United States.
