The Anamur banana variety will be grown in a new greenhouse complex in Nevinnomyssk. These fruits grow in the Turkish city of the same name, the press service of the Stavropol Territory government reported on Monday, June 30.

The plants will be planted in greenhouses, which will be built by the investor on two plots of land with a total area of 45.9 hectares. 3 billion rubles will be spent for these purposes.

21.5 thousand tons of bananas are planned to be grown annually on the plantations. 57 jobs will be created at the enterprise, writes IA StavropolMedia.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that banana cultivation in Russia can reduce prices by one and a half to two times and will give our country an increase in jobs and create export potential. However, experts have expressed doubts about the realism of these plans.
