Two people died when an airboat capsized on the Caen River

The Sever airboat with three passengers on board overturned in the Sayansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Two people were saved by an eyewitness, the third passenger drowned, the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office reported on social networks.

The tragedy occurred on June 27 on the Kan River at a distance of 100 km from the village of Orye, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. Rescue services were on their way to the site.

A criminal case has been opened, and all the circumstances of the incident are being established. An audit of the implementation of legislation on the safety of operation of a small fleet is underway.

The progress and results of the investigation have been taken over by the Transport Prosecutor.
