The Interior Ministry told about a new scheme of fraudsters to send virus files

The attackers created a fake account of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and through it they massively send malicious files to military families. This was announced on June 30 by the Department for the Organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
"Malicious files are being massively sent to military families on behalf of the fake account of the Committee of the Red Cross," the agency wrote on its Telegram channel.
As explained in the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, attackers can pass off infected files as a list of military personnel, photo albums of prisoners, and a Red Cross application. It is specified that the "trap files" will necessarily be in the ".apk" format.
Earlier, on June 29, the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia warned about four main fraud schemes through fake payment platforms. So, the attackers create copies of popular online stores. The bank card data entered on it to pay for the intended purchase immediately gets to the scammers.
