About 11.9 billion rubles have been invested in long-term construction and abandoned facilities in the Trans-Baikal Territory. This was reported on Monday, June 30, in the Telegram channel of the regional control and accounting chamber.

So, at the beginning of the current 2025, 599 unfinished construction projects were registered in the region, but not all of them are problematic. More than 37 billion rubles have been invested in them, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

The analysis of the KSP showed that the number of abandoned objects is increasing, and there are no systematic measures to reduce them. This situation was caused by insufficient financing, poor quality of design and estimate documentation and unfair work of contractors.

The agency is also alarmed by the significant number of PSAs (58 units) with capital investments of more than 344 million rubles, for which construction has not been started or suspended for more than five years.

In connection with the current situation, the PCB has sent recommendations to the regional Ministry of Construction and the government on optimizing and reducing the volume of unfinished construction.

Earlier it was reported that in the Trans-Baikal Territory, almost 40% of the housing stock is in disrepair. We are talking about 2.5 thousand apartment buildings, in which more than 26 thousand people live. At the same time, emergency and demolished facilities are present in most municipalities of the region.
