The Russian Foreign Ministry is concerned about the lack of communication with Russian journalists in Baku. This was announced on June 30 by the official representative of the Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"We are concerned that for more than two hours Russian diplomats in Baku have not been able to contact journalists who are Russian citizens," TASS quoted the diplomat as saying.

Earlier in the day, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, reported that employees of the Sputnik Azerbaijan news agency did not get in touch after reports of an operation in the editorial office by the republic's law enforcement agencies.
