In Kursk, the opening of Ivan Krutikov's "Hero's Desk" took place in Kindergarten No. 81. The event was held within the framework of the federal party project "New School" on the initiative of the regional coordinator of the project, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education Ekaterina Kharchenko. The footage is published by Izvestia on June 30.

The meeting was dedicated to the memory of the combatant Krutikov. This year, as part of the Kursk Knights volunteer unit, he died during the liberation of Sudzha. The event also took place on the eve of the Day of Military Veterans.

"He had such a strong character, but at the same time he had a kind, open heart. <...> People turned to him for help, and he always helped them. Even if he couldn't do it, he turned to someone who could," Ekaterina Krutikova said about her deceased husband.

As part of the event, Ekaterina Kharchenko presented a letter of thanks to the head of the kindergarten and, together with the children, planted a Victory lilac, which she brought as a gift.

"For the first time, not only in Kursk, but also in Russia, as part of the federal New School party project, we are opening a Hero's Desk in a kindergarten where Ivan Krutikov, our hero, spent a lot of time helping with repairs and equipment. He was generally a very caring person," the parliamentarian noted.

The educational project "Hero's Desk" was created by the United Russia party in 2019. It is implemented in educational institutions in Russia. This project was implemented for the first time in the framework of the municipal preschool education system.

Earlier, on June 25, it was reported that an educational project "Nearby" was launched in Moscow, dedicated to the war heroes whose names the streets of the capital bear. As part of the initiative, posters with information about the participants of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) will be placed on 80 streets of the capital, as well as at public transport stops, press kiosks and classic billboards.
