Pre-retirees in Russia have a number of labor guarantees, including protection from age-related dismissal and the right to additional days off for medical examinations. This was announced on Monday, June 30, by Igor Balynin, associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

In conversation with aif.ru The specialist noted that refusal to apply for a job or dismissal due to pre-retirement age is a violation of the law. For such actions, an official may face criminal liability: a fine of up to 200 thousand rubles, an amount of 18 months of salary or up to 360 hours of compulsory labor.

In addition, pre-retirees have the right to receive two paid days off once a year for medical examination. However, according to Balynin, to do this, you need to provide an appropriate certificate from a medical institution, if this is provided for by the company's internal rules.

In May, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the introduction of a tax deduction for regular medical examinations and the delivery of the All-Russian Sports Complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" (TRP). In addition, the head of state ordered to provide proposals for the introduction of a tax deduction when paying for physical education and recreation services for the spouse and parents.
