A criminal case on causing death by negligence was opened after a fire in the village of Perovo, Leningrad region. A 12-year-old child died in a fire in an abandoned building.

According to the 78 TV channel, according to preliminary data, the teenager was playing with a friend in an abandoned house. They took gasoline with them to light the stove in the attic. Gasoline spilled from the canister, it burst into flames right in the student's hands.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene extinguished the fire, but they could not save the teenager.

Earlier, on June 27, a fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Chita, in which a woman died. Five more adults and one child were rescued. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, a total of 20 people and six pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
