Moscow clinics have received more than 120 radiation diagnostic devices

Since the beginning of the year, more than 120 new devices for radiation diagnostics have been delivered to Moscow clinics. In total, about 24,000 units of modern medical equipment were delivered to hospitals and polyclinics in the capital in 2024, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
"We continuously provide the city's medical organizations with the most modern and technologically advanced equipment," Sobyanin said in a Telegram channel. He added that over the past few years, the capital's medical institutions have completely updated the equipment for endoscopic and laparoscopic examinations.
Among the new radiation diagnostic devices are 75 X—ray machines of the latest generation with minimal radiation load, 13 computer and 10 magnetic resonance imaging machines. In addition, Moscow clinics received 20 mammographs, 3 angiographs with 3D navigation function for high-precision treatment and operations, the mayor said.
The quality of diagnostic studies and the choice of patient treatment tactics directly depends on the capabilities and smooth operation of the equipment, Sobyanin noted. "Therefore, equipping clinics is one of the key areas of the Moscow healthcare modernization program," he stressed.
In total, since 2022, the Moscow authorities have purchased more than 5,000 devices for the cardiology service, and in 2023 they updated the surgical equipment.
Earlier, the Moscow City Hall reported that 291 polyclinic buildings in the capital had been reconstructed according to a single standard. The renovated facilities already serve more than 8 million patients, and doctors have conducted over 140 million appointments.
