The most stolen car parts in Russia are named

The most stolen car parts from Russian car owners turned out to be nameplates, side mirrors, discs and headlights. In 2025, the demand for them on marketplaces will increase 2.5 times. This was reported on June 30 by RIA Novosti with reference to a study by the Moneyplace service and the Consent insurance company.
The list also includes wheel caps, headlight washer nozzles, wiper mounts, and standard cameras. In total, Russians have spent more than 148 million rubles on the above-mentioned components since the beginning of the year.
The insurance company noted that these and other elements are easy to remove from a parked car. Owners of BMW cars (14% of cases of theft of parts), Lada, Mercedes and Toyota (9% for each brand) were advised to be especially vigilant.
Most often this year, incidents were recorded in the Moscow region, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Theft of side mirrors accounted for 36% of all incidents involving insured vehicles, and an equal number of incidents involving wheels and headlights were also recorded.
Earlier, on June 11, it was reported that by the end of January–May 2025 in Russia, the number of reported carjackings increased 1.3 times compared to the same period last year. The owners of Lada cars reported thefts most often during this period, followed by Hyundai, Kia, Renault and GAZ brands in the ranking.
