- Mishustin instructed operators to provide information about missing people's smartphones.

On June 30, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed operators at a strategic session on the development of the communications industry to provide search and rescue teams with information about the location of missing people's smartphones. Information about this was published on the official website of the Government of the Russian Federation on June 30.
"Several more specific instructions have been given by the Ministry of Finance. In particular, by November 3, the ministry must evaluate the possibility of <...> providing telecom operators with information about the location of missing people's mobile phones," the statement said.
It is noted that this measure is necessary to facilitate the search for lost or abducted citizens.
Mishustin reported on May 26 that Russia is noticeably ahead of European countries in terms of home Internet speed. He said that currently about 39 million people use home Internet services in Russia. Most of them have speeds of 100 Mbps or higher.
