Putin congratulates President of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamedov on his birthday

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent an official birthday greeting to Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The text of the July 30 message is provided by the Turkmen State Publishing Service (TGIS).

"Dear Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich! Please accept my warmest birthday greetings. Over the years of service in high government positions, you have gained great respect from your compatriots and great authority abroad. Your personal contribution to the strengthening of Russian-Turkmen relations is enormous," Putin said.

The Russian leader also expressed hope for the continuation of a joint course of development in the spirit of strategic partnership and for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.

In conclusion, the Russian President wished Berdimuhamedov good health, happiness, prosperity and success.

On May 16, Putin and Berdimuhamedov discussed the development of relations between Russia and Turkmenistan. The Kremlin clarified that during the dialogue, prospects for the development of a mutually beneficial strategic partnership between the states were discussed.
