Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and US President Donald Trump have agreed to resume trade talks to finalize a deal by June 21. This was announced on Monday, June 30, by the Canadian Ministry of Finance.
"Prime Minister Carney and President Trump have agreed that the parties will resume negotiations with a view to reaching an agreement by July 21," the statement said.
Earlier, on June 28, Trump announced the termination of trade negotiations with Canada. The Head of State clarified that Canada will be notified of the rate of its future trade duties within the next seven days.
