The remains of 381 people were found in a Mexican crematorium.

In the state of Chihuahua in northern Mexico, the hidden remains of 381 people were found in an abandoned crematorium. This was reported on June 29 by the newspaper La Jornada, citing a statement by the state prosecutor Cesar Jauregui Moreno.
"A total of 381 corpses were found. [The bodies] were stacked and hidden in a crematorium located in the Fermas Polo Gamboa colony in Ciudad Juarez," the newspaper noted.
As the newspaper noted, the crematorium had not previously burned the bodies and sent the ashes of another person to the relatives of the deceased.
At the moment, the company's owner and one of the crematorium's employees have been arrested.
"They are accused of crimes related to the improper handling of human remains, sanitation, secret burial and fraud," La Jornada quoted a statement from the state attorney general.
Earlier, on August 9, 2024, in China, intruders stole more than 4 thousand bodies from crematoriums and medical laboratories for the manufacture of prosthetics. It was clarified that they earned about 380 million yuan (about $ 53 million) from the sale of bone tissue.
