North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un met with Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova. This was reported on June 30 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

"On June 29, the first anniversary of the signing of the new treaty between the DPRK and Russia, the Secretary General of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong—un, met with Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova, who is on a visit to our country at the head of a delegation from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation," the publication says.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the DPRK, Alexander Matsegora.

It is specified that the conversation took place "in an atmosphere of warm friendship." In addition to socializing, the audience also watched performances by Russian artists in Pyongyang. Creative figures of the DPRK also performed at the event.

"Comrade Kim Jong—un congratulated the Russian artists who celebrated the burgeoning friendship between the DPRK and Russia with their unique and passionate performances, and presented them with a basket of flowers," the agency reports.

On June 26, Kim Jong-un attended the opening ceremony of the Wonsan-Kalma tourist Zone in the DPRK. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation and other employees of the Russian diplomatic mission were also invited to the ceremony as special guests.
