In Belarus, the level of protection of the southern sections of the state border will be increased

Security of the state border with Ukraine will be strengthened in Belarus. This was announced on June 29 by Konstantin Molostov, Chairman of the State Border Committee of the Republic, in an interview with the STV TV channel.

"This year we have already completed two border posts, completely new ones that meet modern requirements," the head of the State Border Committee added.

According to him, the situation on the borders of the country remains "habitually tense" due to the provocative actions of neighbors from the south.

Molostov noted that a state program is being implemented to strengthen the southern border, providing for the creation of new units, the construction of military camps and modern border outposts.

On May 22, it was reported that an electronic barrier was being built in the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland on the border with Belarus. It was specified that the barrier includes about 1.8 thousand masts with cameras, 4.5 thousand cameras for round-the-clock and thermal imaging surveillance and special sensors that can detect different physical characteristics of objects.
