China has developed a new type of graphite bomb capable of disabling enemy power plants and causing a complete power outage over a large area. This is reported by the South China Morning Post with reference to the Chinese State Television (CCTV).

"These weapons are aimed at disrupting the enemy's command and control systems, causing widespread power outages in an area of at least 10,000 square meters," the material says.

It is specified that after launch, the rocket emits 90 cylindrical submunitions, which bounce off and explode in the air when they hit the ground. As a result, thin chemically treated carbon filaments are sprayed into the atmosphere, which can cause a short circuit of high-voltage networks.

The project was developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), a contractor of the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China. At the same time, details about the current status or possible deployment of the bomb by the military were not disclosed — CCTV called it a "secret type of domestically produced missile."

On June 20, it was reported that the robotics laboratory of the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) of China has developed a mosquito-sized drone for covert military operations. It was clarified that miniature bionic robots are particularly suitable for information intelligence and special missions on the battlefield.
