The third person involved in the murders of previous years was arrested in Yekaterinburg.

The Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg has arrested another suspect in the case of a series of murders committed in the early 2000s, Safarov Ayaza Mokhbaly oglu. This was announced on June 29 by the joint press service of the courts of the Sverdlovsk region.

"The court chose a preventive measure for Safarov in the form of detention for a period until July 19, 2025," the courts' Telegram channel clarified.

In addition, the court extended the detention of three more defendants — Shahin Lalaev, Alikhman Ganjiev and Bakir Safarov — for 72 hours, until July 2.
