The defendants in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall called Ukraine the organizer

The Ukrainian special services became the organizer and customer of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall. The relevant information follows from the materials of the criminal case and the testimony of one of the four perpetrators of the attack.

According to the interrogation protocol, after the attack, the defendants notified Coordinator Sayfullo about the completion of the task. In response, the coordinator allegedly said that the state structure of Ukraine had ordered the terrorist attack and that the perpetrators had to get to the border and cross it in order to receive a reward in Kiev — 1 million rubles each.

"I realized that we were being used in the interests of another country, that is, Ukraine, which has nothing to do with the Muslim world, but solves some of its tasks on the territory of Russia with someone else's hands," TASS quotes the text of the interrogation.

It also follows from the testimony that the perpetrators created a legend that the attack was allegedly initiated solely by the Islamic State organization (IS, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) in order to hide the real organizers.

The accused, Saidokrami Rachabolizoda, added that Sayfullo urged them to support Ukraine "because it is at war with Russia, the enemy of Muslims."

In addition, it is noted that the weapons used to carry out the terrorist attack were imported from the territory of Ukraine. It was easier to transfer weapons from there than from Turkey or Afghanistan, where the terrorists' handlers were located.

In March, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, announced the completion of investigative actions in the criminal case of the terrorist attack in less than a year. It was clarified that the defendants and their defenders are currently completing their review of the case file. On June 23, an official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced that the investigation into the criminal case of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow had been completed.

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall took place on March 22, 2024. Terrorists in camouflage broke into the building, they started shooting and set fire to the concert hall. As a result of the attack, 149 people were killed and 609 injured.
