The Russian military told about the fighting in the Serebryansk forestry in the LPR
The Russian army is fighting daily in the Serebryansk forestry between the town of Kremennaya in the LPR and the village of Serebryanka in the DPR. In an almost completely burned-out forest area, fiber-optic drones have become the most dangerous enemy of the military. Footage from the scene of the fighting on June 29 is published by Izvestia.
In the Serebryansky forest, traces of the heaviest battles are visible everywhere: artillery sweeps away everything in its path. The infantry goes to storm enemy strongholds.
"His (forest. — Ed.) almost none. Yes, the bushes grow, they cover. But you know yourself, thermal imagers are being used now, and so on," a Russian military man with the call sign Bogomol told Izvestia correspondent Stanislav Grigoriev.
Fiber-optic drones that are not subject to radio interference are actively used in the forest. In these conditions, motorcycles manifest themselves with their speed and maneuverability.
"Their (fiber-optic drones. —Ed.) in general, it is possible to confuse. This is optical fiber, fishing line. He's flying slowly, low, and he won't be able to maneuver on the line," said a military man with the call sign Beha.
In May, the Russian army liberated the village of Torskoye, north of the forestry district. Now that the Russian Armed Forces have improved their positions in the forests of Serebryanka, there is hope for the early expulsion of the enemy from this area.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of the settlement of Novoukrainka in the DPR. As a result of the offensive actions of the Center group of forces, the enemy lost more than 400 soldiers, an American-made M113 armored personnel carrier, a Cossack armored car, 15 vehicles and four field artillery guns.
