No state should discuss the change of power in other countries, otherwise the whole world will fall into the abyss. This is how Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the situation in the Middle East on June 29.

"No country or group of countries should discuss the change of power in other countries. If this happens, then the world will go to hell," RIA Novosti quoted the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation to VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.

On June 17, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz threatened Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei with the fate of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, who was captured and executed after the invasion of his country by the US-led coalition. The media reported that the Israeli authorities did not rule out the possibility of physically eliminating Khamenei in the conflict with Iran. At the same time, US President Donald Trump said that he was against the removal of Khamenei.

On June 28, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Trump should abandon his disrespectful tone towards the country's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in order to conclude an agreement on the nuclear program. He noted that otherwise Iran will show its "real capabilities", thereby responding to the threats and insults of the United States. The Iranian Foreign Minister compared the US assistance to Israel with an appeal to the "pope."
