In Tanzania, at least 38 people were killed and 28 others injured in an accident involving two buses. This was reported on June 29 by the Xinhua news agency with reference to the local regional commissioner Nurdin Babu.

"At least 38 people were killed and another 28 injured on Saturday evening (June 28. — Ed.), when two buses collided head—on and caught fire in the Moshi district of the Kilimanjaro region in northern Tanzania," the article says.

It is noted that one of the buses had a burst front tire, and after the collision, a fire broke out, engulfing both vehicles. According to Babu, 22 of the 28 victims have been discharged from medical institutions, and six more remain in hospitals.
