A car at a crossing collided with an electric train locomotive in Krasnoyarsk

An investigation into the circumstances of a collision between a car and an electric train locomotive at a crossing has begun in Krasnoyarsk. This was announced on Sunday, June 29, by the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"According to preliminary data, today at about [04:00 Moscow time], an electric train collided with a passenger car at a regulated railway crossing located between the Yenisei and Krasnoyarsk Pillars stations in the Sverdlovsk region of Krasnoyarsk," the department said in a Telegram channel.
They noted that the collision occurred because the car left the track of the rolling stock. As a result of the accident, the locomotive did not leave the tracks, and there were no delays in train traffic.
The prosecutor's office is checking the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier, on June 19, it was reported that 11 freight train cars derailed at the Kargapolye station in the Kurgan region. There were no casualties or fatalities as a result of this incident. In addition, train traffic on the Kamensk-Uralsky—Kurgan section was temporarily suspended.
