In the 85th minute of the match between Chelsea and Benfica football teams on June 28 (June 29 Moscow time), the referee interrupted due to a thunderstorm in the stadium area, as a result, the game continued two hours later.

As a result, the match ended with a 4-1 victory and Chelsea reaching the quarterfinals.

In the 64th minute, defender and commander of the English FC Rhys James opened the scoring. In the 90th+5th minute, Portuguese Angel Di Maria scored a goal as a result of a penalty kick.

Chelsea will face Brazilian FC Palmeiras in the quarterfinals on July 5.
