American billionaire Elon Musk said on June 28 that US President Donald Trump's new project to increase government spending would lead the country into debt slavery.

"This bill raises the debt ceiling by $5 trillion, which is the largest increase in history, putting America on a fast track to debt slavery," he wrote on the social network X.

Musk also noted that the latest US Senate bill would also reduce the number of jobs and cause strategic damage to many modern industries.

Earlier, on June 3, Musk criticized the draft budget proposed by the White House, calling it an abomination. Later, on June 5, Musk publicly supported the idea of impeaching Trump. The president, in turn, wrote that terminating contracts with Musk is the easiest way to save money in the US budget. At the same time, Tesla shares fell sharply.
