Rosaviation temporarily restricted the operation of five airports

The work of five airports was temporarily restricted for security reasons, said Artem Korenyako, an official representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, on June 29.

"To ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights, temporary restrictions on their admission and release have been introduced at the airports of Volgograd (ICAO code: URWW), Penza (UWPP); Saransk (UWPS), Saratov (Gagarin; UWSG) and Elista (URWI)," his Telegram channel says.

According to Korenyako, all necessary measures have been taken to ensure flight safety. Airports do not accept or send flights for a while.

Roman Starovoit, Minister of Transport, spoke about the growth of air mobility, the reduction of accidents on highways and the elimination of the consequences of the tanker crash in the Kerch Strait.

Earlier, on June 19, the Federal Air Transport Agency temporarily restricted the operation of Ivanovo Airport. On the same day, temporary restrictions on flights at Kaluga and Ivanovo airports were lifted.
