The IDF announced the elimination of a Hezbollah fighter in southern Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of Abbas al-Hassan Wahbi, a fighter of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in southern Lebanon. The IDF announced this on June 28 in its Telegram channel.

"Today (Saturday. The Israel Defense Forces attacked and eliminated terrorist Abbas al-Hassan Wahbi, an intelligence officer in the Radwan battalion of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Haroun area of southern Lebanon," the statement said.

According to the IDF, Wahbi participated in attempts to rehabilitate Hezbollah and illegally transferred weapons, which is a violation of the agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

At the same time, Israel maintains troops in five positions in southern Lebanon.

Earlier in the day, the IDF announced the liquidation of one of the founders of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Haham Muhammad Issa al-Issa. The operation to eliminate Issa took place in the Sabra area of Gaza City.
