Guard Corporal Vladimir Zhukov, as part of a support group, was carrying out the task of delivering ammunition and food to Russian soldiers at the front lines when his convoy was attacked by a Ukrainian FPV drone. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Sunday, June 29, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

The convoy was moving through a wooded area, and Zhukov was the first to notice an FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) approaching it. Immediately, the soldier aimed his machine gun and eliminated the device. Zhukov soon discovered that an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was approaching them again, this time a reconnaissance aircraft. The Russian soldier destroyed it as quickly as the first drone. As a result, no one in the support group was injured, and the cargo was delivered to its destination on time.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the high professionalism of the Guard of Junior Sergeant Alexander Knyazev, who served as the gunner operator of the tank company of the tank battalion.

As part of the tank's crew, he performed the task of defeating the enemy from a closed firing position. Thanks to his professional skills, he quickly and accurately aimed the gun at specified coordinates and fired at enemy positions, despite the retaliatory attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As a result, the crew managed to destroy five units of enemy military equipment and a significant number of personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, on June 28, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Guard Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Sokolov commanded a motorized rifle unit during the assault on the fortified strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and decided to enter the enemy's rear, which led to the retreat of the enemy.
