The son of US President Donald Trump, Eric, said on June 27 that his path to the post of American leader would be easy.

"I think the political path [to the presidency of the United States] would be easy, that is, I think I could do it," Eric Trump said in an interview with the Financial Times newspaper.

He also stressed that other members of the Trump family could also get the post of American leader.

Eric described himself as someone who is "completely unimpressed with half the politicians I see. I could do this very effectively," the article clarified.

It is emphasized that the 41-year-old man was considered less politically inclined than his older brothers and sisters. Instead of a career in politics, he focused on the family business, which he has been entrusted with since the beginning of Donald Trump's first term in 2017.

On May 25, it was reported that Donald Trump Jr. could become one of seven possible candidates to succeed Trump Sr. from the Republican Party in the 2028 elections. The list of candidates also includes Vice President of the United States Jay Dee Vance, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristy Noem, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the governors of Georgia (Brian Kemp), Florida (Ron DeSantis), and Virginia (Glenn Yangkin).
