- Milyuta, a deputy of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly, was arrested in a bribery case

Oleg Milyuta, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, was arrested for 1 month and 28 days in a bribery case. This was reported on June 28 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Kolpinsky district court.
Milyuta will remain in custody until August 25. The defense asked the court to choose a preventive measure for the deputy in the form of house arrest or a ban on certain actions.
The investigation believes that Milyuta was part of a criminal scheme together with the head of the Kolpino district administration, Yulia Logvinenko, and the head of the local administration of the Kolpino municipality, Dmitry Kohno. Through an intermediary, they received a bribe of more than 14 million rubles for general patronage from the director of a commercial organization engaged in the improvement of the Kolpinsky district.
Miluta was detained after handing over the next part of the bribe, and money was found in his possession during a search. The money found at the heads of administrations was also confiscated: at Logvinenko's workplace, and at Kohno's place of residence. The defendants fully admitted their guilt.
Earlier, on June 27, the court placed Logvinenko under house arrest. Kohno was arrested for two months, and a similar measure was chosen for Oleg Lapotko, who is accused of mediating bribery.
